Is our current health care system so broken we must put it to rest? Why couldn't we have just fixed what was broken instead of starting new? I know most of us complained of high costs but there are better ways to bring down cost than scrapping the system. The first place to look is all medicines and equipment developed through grants from our government become free services, we would still have to pay the technicians and pharmacists for their time though. You would have to have a very closed mind or a very strong personal reason to not see all that was good in the current system.

gosh, you got to get up early to read posts before they are removed. You would happy if you could get rid of all of the republicans/conservatives as easily. Your love and respect of the 1st amendment is remarkable. (sarcasm)

Oh, mop up your tears and move on, billygitmo.

There will soon be somebody else for you to hate and press the abuse button on and despise and call names and...

As long as there are liberals, there should be conservatives. Vice versa too. Kinda yin and yang, huh?

disgusted, I agree with you. Our nation is not Animal Farm yet...

"All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."

Free speech for all, not just for those who consider themselves "more equal" than others, liberal or conservative.

So if a conservative would happen to post facts or information that a liberal can't dispute, would that conservative gain the liberal's approval?

Yeah right

So I've got beachfront property for sale in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska. Any takers?

Back to the topic of "health care website unacceptable"...

Legend: "i trust the blues to make it work. it was a private sector firm that failed with the website--not the Fed."

Au contraire...

forbes . com/sites/theapothecary/2013/10/14/obamacares-website-is-crashing-because-it-doesnt-want-you-to-know-health-plans-true-costs/

"..the Obama administration refused to delay the implementation of the exchanges, despite the well-known problems, because they were afraid of the political blowback. “Former government officials say the White House, which was calling the shots, feared that any backtracking would further embolden Republican critics who were trying to repeal the health care law....”

"...IT and insurance experts have been saying for at least eight months that implementation of the exchanges was going badly, that as early as February officials were warning of a “third world experience.”

Will the avid administration apologists on MDN ever hold Pres. Obama and his people responsible for anything? EVER?

It's not looking good...

"...The real reason they withdrew the offer of voting power is that they've been reading your posts in the MDN..."

Y'know, I can't really tell sometimes. Is this supposed to be one of those highly vaunted factual posts that Veritas speaks of, or is this a post of free hot air for one's very own balloon to go up, up and away in?

I'll let everyone else choose...because I can't.

Another day, another failure for obamacare. F Chuck Todd asking Jay Carney who "misled" the president into saying it would be as easy as buying airline tickets on Kayak instead of asking why the president insisted on saying that And the employment numbers are out and guess what, they are "disappointing" Only 10 million more Americans are unemployed since obama became president. Meanwhile obama hasn't tried to log onto his "signature accomplishment" nor has anyone in his administration but he's "frustrated". 10 of the 13 people in the Rose Garden yesterday have not signed up for obamacare, yet they are being paraded around because they tried to sign up. Today a federal judge ok'd lawsuits that would kill obamacare. You have to read a paper from the UK though to find the story. Oh, and the website is still down. How long will it take obama to do an executive order for a single payer system?

I am not going to give anyone, including the President of the United States my social security number or any other information. Especially on Line or on the Phone. Send me an IRS Letter, I will have my Lawyer and Accountant, answer it.

"In his fundraising e-mail, (Democrat Alan) Grayson used the image of a burning cross to serve as the “T” in “tea party,” likening the group to the Klu Klux Klan. (Republican Jorge) Bonilla accused Grayson of looking to divide Americans rather than unite them, and called the depiction “despicable and needlessly hurtful to the many millions of families that still deal with the wounds of racial prejudice.”

Why is this behavior appropriate?

I'll tell you why: because a liberal did it.

Veritas, I'm the last person that wants to get you "on board" with things or people you detest.

Why should you be afflicted with more suffering than you already have?

To each his own. Make up your mind. If it's possible, be polite to those who don't agree with you.

That's the "Psychology Minute" for today, played excellently by none other than locomotive.

Missy, I'm with you. In this day of rampant identity theft, why would any of us take the chance that our important, private information could be compromised?

Safe and secure? Yeah, right...

Y'know, all coarseness, vulgarity and name-calling aside, this phrase really sounds like censorship to me.

Does anyone else think so?

Why can't the files at the IRS provide all of the information necessary, why do people have to enroll?

Not that many have enrolled, so it might be a massive boycott in the works.

Nobody wants anything to do with Omama care?

There are 46 million people on food stamps, so their names are there in the food stamp files, so the US fed gov agriculture department website should be able to share those files with the health care gov website.

The 46 million receiving food stamps should be automatically enrolled in Obummercare, be subsequently billed and their SNAP benefits applied to their health care costs, which means they won't be receiving any food stamps because it becomes a wash.

In Iraq it was food for oil, in the US, it is food for healthcare. If you don't pay for your healthcare, you don't eat.

Obamacare is the most inhumane act of legislation ever devised by an uncaring Congress that has no compassion for humans whatsoever.

A completely retarded effort to launch Obamacare speaks volumes.

It is dead on arrival.

You know it's pretty hard to do much about the website nor working. I'm trying to remember the complaints of the MDN about the software to determine Medicaid eligibility in ND taking extra years and many million. Or that the Secretary of State took many years and millions to try and get it so you could fill out forms online. All this while other state agencies had software already that let people fill out forms online. Shall we talk about how long it took for people to get license plates for their cars? I guess not since all those are run by Republicans and it's close enough that the MDN readership actually could possibly do something about it.

Maybe we should instead just skip the software and talk about how Minot is in a very bad situation with feezeup occurring with fields saturated and the dikes are in bad shape and not much of anything really seems to be getting done to fix anything that protects Minot. Most of the work seems to have been done to encourage as many as possible to rebuild the floodplain. This is really important and possibly something could be done about this, but no let's rant day after day about Obama.

RR, do you think people actually take your "National Report Exclusive" posts seriously?

What caliber of people are you hoping to impress with this tripe?

Now I suppose that was too abusive for some of the sensitive libs around here...

I think RR's recent posts are more like the National Enquirer than anything DustOff posts.

Hope nobody's feelings got hurt....

So we found out that there are about 55 different government agencies and civilian contractors who worked on the website, and everyone puts the blame on someone else but not them. The whole gist of the problem is this: "What we have here is a failure to communicate!" With that many people and/or companies working on 1 site, something was bound to go wrong and this is costing taxpayers a whole bunch of money.

"Been thinking loco that I certainly could be more polite in my responses to you...I'll make an effort!"

If that isn't vanilla-speak, I don't know what is! Yowza...
