Animal cruelty sickening

October 19, 2013

We’re not even sure where to begin with this story: A Shetland pony was chased from its pen near Bottineau, hit by a vehicle and eventually dragged behind a vehicle until it was dead....

agree but am troubled when peta and the aspca put animals b4 people. i expect every case under the new law to be most controversial and especially where wild animals are involved. many people are severally abused routinely with no public reaction.

Cruelty of any kind is just that cruel. This could have been done by someone angry with the owner or someone on drugs or by some mean cuss. It is nothing that should be neglected or dismissed lightly. But, I will again bring up the cruelness inflicted on at least 28 very vulnerable elderly who now have to endure Hepatitis C. Where is all the outrage about that?

I'd hope that educated people would limit their use of the word "terror" to situations for which it actually applies...

Terror definition

: a very strong feeling of fear

: something that causes very strong feelings of fear or something that is terrifying

: violence that is committed by a person, group, or government in order to frighten people and achieve a political goal

What "violence" has the Republican party done in the past few weeks?

I see the Democrats engaging in, shall we say, "impending violence:" those who don't enroll in Obamacare will be fined, that is, money forcibly taken from them because they don't choose to buy a product for themselves.

Yeah, that "frightens" me, or it ticks me off - I don't know which emotion I'm feeling more....

the court of public opinion can be dangerous. i will hold out for the rest of the story. minot once had a car motorcycle mishap where the car driver was doing nothing wrong but left the scene after the bike hit it at a stop light. the car driver was hunted like a dog until found and processed on. my question at the time was "who would they have blamed if the bike hit a power pole? maybe the utility company? if this was deliberate--may they pay dearly.

the horse story is ugly but where is the outcry for all of the needless death/injury of workers in the oil patch? why is it ok for them to work such long hours and days b4 a break? why do they have to drive on dangerous roads?

lefty, nobody thinks dragging a pony to death is ok, in spite of your trying (desperately) to score a political point with your post.
