City Costs are fixed? That has to be prime example of rhetoric without using facts. Do you think the city is immune from rising costs and that new police, firefighters and other workers are free. Also this is a school system bond it has nothing to do with City of Minot budget or tax levy.

Why thank you kindly Filmy - and since minot taxmasters think almost everyone's home is worth 200 grand now, it's only 2900.00+ for approx. property tax. Now Filmy, wanna help us out once more and let us know what it would be with the latest increase? i heard 456.00 once, but that was without the inevitable 'cost overruns' figured in yet. and that came from a politician so i don't think i'll take his word for it.

I will be voting no on this issue, and I will be encouraging everyone else that I know to vote no on this bond as well. If the school wants money, they can go ask the state for it. The citizens are sick of paying more and more and more.

Hey Mike, You and Steve should get together and rent a U-Haul truck together to save expenses when the 2 of you haul your dairy ayrs out of town on Dec.11. And a HO HO HO, Merry Christmas to you too.

You must not have looked very hard (shocker). It's right at the bottom. 14.76 per 1000.

besides, we have a few people on fixed incomes that haven't been forced to move to Bismarck yet, (where most i know have moved to) A YES vote will help get these people out of here. since that's what minot leaders seem to want. if you want to know what your property tax is, cut your house pmt in half and you should be pretty close. the amount per 1000 in valuation used to be on the assessor website, but i couldn't find it now. (shocker) Does anyone know what the exact amt per 1000 is? last i was told was about $15.00 per $1000. adds up fast.....
