Verts...I don't know why you feel the 1958 was best.....in fact, I have collected every year's versions of the World Book while they were in print. By the way, what was your favorite item from the 1958 set? I just wish we could come together in that World Book was a much better encyclopedia...

oil is holding the media hostage. pipe testing is in order--and so many miles of it to test. we will hear from the oil worshipers again when they can answer that question. so many said it was going so good. "we need to take this to Washington, they said". Gov. must not be on state memo list--some knew but he didn't. hmmm.

libs aren't happy unless they are spending OPM. too bad they don't spend their time making their own money, instead of trying to take from others.

Verts...I feel I have to correct you, which I hate to do with a fellow Democrat Party supporter. But it was the World Book Encyclopedia ...

the tp needs to go but it would not be good if they take the whole party with. hope they disband quietly and leave the party in place. too much hard left is not good either. i bet B. Clinton would win today and beat any challenger if he ran. reds frown on girl friends--but they sure have a lot of their own--then there is rush--why all the vile talk about women; he must not like them. i trust the feeling is mutual.

those who voted for the tp now cry thee loudest when the smallest parts of the Fed close. they need to go back and read the agenda of the t party--these cuts are nothing compared to their big plans.

I feel it is the Republicans that have the 'black handicap', and my Democrat Party that has the 'black advantage'.....but I feel this is just my opinion....

"This is the shutdown the wingers have talked about for two years and now they claim it is not their fault. Yea right."

That's funny, because as I recall, this shutdown has been threatened every single time the Republicans in the house have hinted at taking a stand regarding the debt ceiling, and every time, the Republicans caved. Do you mean that shutdown?

"The very fact that Christopher is expressing his displeasure with Congressman Kramer is evidence that the Constitution of the United States is alive and well!"

Apparently you have an unusually low standard for "evidence"

"You don't legislate with blackmail tactics. Then go on the media and lie about it."

I've been hearing a lot about this blackmail lately. Care to enlighten us all on exactly how this blackmail is being carried out? Be specific.

it appears the tp handlers (koch's +) were surprised how easy the dems agreed to such radical cuts in the budget and thought (after the negotiated agreement) it would be easy to get more especially at fiscal year end 30 sep, because a cr or budget is required on 01 oct for the fed to spend money as usual. boehner said this (using other words) yesterday in an interview with stephanopo.lis

let me try again. the repubs and dems negotiated an agreement on a continuing resolution (temp budget),which contains deep cuts and is very near the radical rand paul (t party) budget. when it came time to sign the repubs refused and asked instead for all or some of the ACA. the timing was such that if the dems did not agree--the Fed would shut down. This backing out of a negotiated deal--as the repubs did is properly called blackmail. your bengazi brainwash is holding you back.

On sunday oct. o7 boehner told g. stephanopolis in interview the parties agreed to the continuing res. but later the rep. caucus decided they wanted a piece of ACA--BY HIS STATEMENT THE GOV'T. SHUTDOWN WAS CAUSED BY REPUBLICANS REFUSAL TO HONOR THEIR NEGITIATIONS.

Hey V. he won twice with a black handicap and has gone thru hell's gauntlet of lies and accusations from rush and bengazi talk. same for the affordable care act. i am waiting to see how skeptics walk back all of the things they said about him when his 2nd term is done. i hope to remind them every day. be interesting to see if they have any credibility after 8 years of crying wolf. their fanatic talk won his 2nd term and may well give blues the next Pres. i was rolling laughing listening to red talk about why romney lost. they don't get it so they supress the vote, stage symbolic fig

The crybaby right wing is controlling the Republican party and destroying it. You don't legislate with blackmail tactics. Then go on the media and lie about it. This is the shutdown the wingers have talked about for two years and now they claim it is not their fault. Yea right.

Come on Jack, quit the false liberal tone. You have tried to pretend to be a liberal for almost a couple of years now. Get a life and be proud of being an obstructionist right winger instead of hiding. Oh, that is right, you are a winger and therefore you hide all the time.

psssst, Christopher....just a little secret....one the media helps us keep.....it is us in the Democrat Party that are getting all the benefits of keeping government shut down, and we will do our best to keep it shut down....but I feel so good that you are taking the time out to blame Republicans...your pain is our gain....
