"This poll was conducted by telephone October 1-2, 2013 among 1,021 adults nationwide. Data collection was conducted on behalf of CBS News by Social Science Research Solutions of Media, PA. Phone numbers were dialed from samples of both standard land-line and cell phones."

"Most Americans want compromise. Majorities think the President and the Democrats in Congress and the Republicans in Congress should compromise in order to come to an agreement on the budget."

Compromise or Stick to Positions?

Pres. Obama & Dems should compromise 76%

Cong. Reps should compromise 78%

Pres. Obama & Dems should stick to positions 21% 18

Cong. Reps should stick to positions 18%

Poll Facts: EVERYBODY should quit posturing and have the conversation needed to get things done in DC. EOS

More posts from the liar in chief, bdgi. What about your post on Will? Gonna admit it was a spoof just like the one Fox news put on concerning the Muslim museum? Typical uniformed righty.

We can be sure about one thing, Obama is either golfing or in Las Vegas making political speeches. He shoves his views down Americans throats and then goes play.

Hey, everyone, BDGI is telling a pants on fire lie again. His story about Will did not happen. It is completely false. It is out there to check out. Another false statement put out on facebook probably by other irrational wingers to fool the public. And our liar in chief, BDGI was right there to gobble it up.

You still don't know what you are talking about, bdgi. You can only ridicule, denigrate, make fun of, or express yourself in an inappropriate manner. I have told many people to come to the blog and view your rantings. You can only lie, bloviate, and make false claims. Go Ahead, bdgi, continue with your out of state rhetoric of hatred. Only a coward operates in the manner that you do. I am sure your favorite color is "yellow".

As long as we are talking about Harry Reid's comment and the distortions being put forth, lets talk about something that needs no distortion. How about the cuts to the cancer research program voted in by these same white coated Republicans? Well, they voted to cut upwards of 1.5 Billion dollars from that same program. Actually, as far back as 2010, Eric Cantor himself, proposed a 1.3 billion dollar cut to this program. Hypocrites all. Now, that is factual, righties.

Well, well, whistler, why are you always claiming things negative about us liberals. Could it be that you know that most all of the garbage the Republicans are putting forth is just that- garbage. Maybe you just have no facts to support their lies. Or, maybe, that is the way you are.

Billdoesntgetit---Responding to your claim that I said I didn't have insurance.

I have always carried health insurance and have never said I didn't. In fact, I have always paid 100% (that means all) of my premium which amounted to more than $5500/year (nearly 20% of my income). Enough detail for you, you little toad?

I suspect your claim that I was an uninsured individual somehow might bolster your assertion that I and anyone else who uses the ACA (which is everyone who get insurance) is a mooch. Crawl in a hole you worm.

So, BDGI, you were talking about BC/BS of San Francisco? Wow, you are still fibbing on it. Thier rates have to be approved by the state first. They have not gotten the approval. Is this the same BC/BS that has doubled it cash reserves in the last seven years to almost 4 Billion Dollars? you are just bloviating.

Did you realize that 72% of those polled in the CBS poll disapprove of shutting down the federal government over differences on the Affordable Care Act. Republicans are the biggest liars of all.

It is amazing that BDGI is so knowledgeable about the rates. Hmmm, BC/BS is at 18% increase for next year. Wonder where you got that figure since they have to get approval of their rate increases and to this point have not gotten that approval. You must be have a gift? I kinda liked what the Republicans said about the HCA program for kids. Boy, have they changed. They just cut 1.55 billion dollars from the research program in the past year and prior to that have proposed cuts of over a billion dollars to that research program. Hypocrites. Now, I hear they are concerned about the food programs for kids and moms, but they just cut billions from those programs: Hypocrites . What other programs will the liars and terrorist be concerned about. Oh, by the way, 78% of those polled in the CBS poll think the Republicans should compromise. Also, more people blame the REpublicans than the democrats.

she used her car as a weapon--no talk of background checks on cars--he hit a biker who slowed down in front of him--no background check (or arrest yet) there either. bdngi: too much fox talk for you today. they have warned for 6 years now our world would come to an end (ismw) with Obama and the only real danger so far is this shutdown by hired guns who will not honor their negotiated agreement on a cont. resolution. the public is on to them more every day. heard some red talk today on why romney lost. they don't get it. we don't want an aristocrat on a dressage horse (except for 1% of us). we want an Eisenhower or T. Roosevelt.

Billdoesntget****e---Noticed a post directed at me about the ACA. Yep been in contact with BCBS and the policy looks great and the tax credit is fantastic. I'll sock away the savings for couple of years 'til I qualify for Medicare. Hope that's OK with you, or do you resent Medicare recipients too? You small minded, infantile, self-centered ignorant troll.

You seem to be a little out of control Billdoessntget****e...Don't go driving erratically in DC.

the cost of ins. on ACA will be high per bengazi news, but no one will know until insurers know who they have signed up. insurers are at risk of high prices because insured can switch to lower cost plans. we had a similar system in the fed. in about 1979 Mail Handlers offered great ins for less $30 per mo. for a family. MH drew many customers away from the higher priced plans. i had MH for 30 years until our hosp. dropped their ppo agreement with MH. do not believe anyone who tells you what the cost will be because no one knows--not even the ins. companies.

the reds and blues agreed to a continuing resolution(temp budget) but come time to sign it, reds refused without a piece or more of ACA. negotiations were over. This is the history of the behavior of the t party. blues said the demands of the t party are so vile and undemocratic that they must stand their ground here, because they have seen this b4, and unless they stop it now it might go on 4 ever. The majority of voters blame the reds and do not want a shut down. The blues are right to break the t party. the cr they agreed to is near the very radical ryan budget--but that is not enough for the tp. the blues have the high ground and every civil servant and business affected by this shutdown knows it. as the days pass and the lies on bengazi news are exposed, the t party may well be demolished--cramer included. Farm bill under cramer--ha ha tp does not want the entire dept. of ag. at least this tp self-destruction got bengazi news off bengazi.

"We're not finished committing suicide here," said Republican strategist John Weaver, a veteran of the McCain and Huntsman campaigns. "We also have the opportunity to kill immigration reform, and the odds are that we will do that, just to make sure we're the angry-white-man party."
