Very bad PR for MSU and the MPD...this is a lose/lose for both.

How stupid to reduce his charge because he pretty much attempted murder twice and not just once....how sad of a state to let another football player go untouched just like those at North Dakota State University.......

This really makes you want to be a cop. Any wonder why we can keep police officers.

Either way it's a black eye for both institutions...everybody lost in this fiasco, especially the taxpayers, who are funding both sides of this story that should never have been.

I questioned how this was attempted murder from the start. sounded pretty fabricated to protect the pd after getting his ass handed to him by an unarmed criminal

OMG people, wake up---the violent acts of thugs from California to Minot State University have gone on for years!!! The police have let numerous thugs walk. Right SGT.STRANDBURG! My son is a victim of one occasion. The only reason they are making a big deal of this is because it is one of their own. OUR FAMILY STILL LIVES WITH A HEAD INJURY VICTIM----NO ARREST, NO CHARGES, AND THE PERP WAS HANDED TO THEM ON A SILVER PLATTTER!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH MINOT PD!!!! LIVE WITH IT!!!
