September 8, 2013

A little community spirit went a long way as more than 100 volunteers teamed up Friday and Saturday to clean up dozens of vacant residential lots and a section of river bank that have been overgrown......

Oh please recognize the individuals who did everything by themselves to make Minot prettier.....

Smoke and mirrors. We know the real people didn't get coverage......

Very good article, a very good cause. This quote stuck out...the old adage "many hands make light work" is indeed true. I agree with concerned that many have taken on the responsibility to bring back and rebuild their homes....but some have chosen not to participate. Concidering from where we've came, what we are dealing with should be quite simple if the home owners and the community will band together. ***********minotrecoveryinfo****/uploads%5Cresources%5C65%5Ccofm_community-press-kit_one-year-later_061912.pdf

Excellent story when people come together through many factions and try to do well for the community. Minot is looking rather shabby these days and it can use all the help people are willing to donate.

concerned, who would that be if not the people who volunteered on Friday and Saturday? You are such a whiner.

How many lots have you adopted. Tell us, give us your real name so we can honor you.

Thank you to Tessa Sandstrom for putting this endeavor together. It was fun to work with strangers from all off the community. We know know which lots are owned by the city. But, even better than that is the offer of assistance to private property owners! that is absolutely awesome. It is great to have a source available.

I think a lot of people went out of their way and gave up their own livelyhoods and don't ask for recognition and honestly it's tiring of the dog and pony show.....

good grief, just go away or stop whining. People do things because they enjoy it, or believe it is the right thing to do, or see a job that needs to be done and just goes ahead and does it~~~~ ALL without needing praise and glory. It was great to have the oil company, Tessa, to take the bull by the horns and bring together 100 people to attack the mess in the city! Cry babies and whiners just need to shut up and appreciate the results.
