If you are to pick a "war", then back the American's that are in that "war". Not because you have egg on your face, after the last election. And not because a lot of Democrats are in the running in a year. Limited, really?? And who are we backing exactly? And all you can do is keep blaming "Bush" for all your woes in life. Hang on, I feel, we are in for a ride we don't want to be on.

By the way, "Bush" had a lot more countries and votes to go ahead. Obama has the United States.

That almost sounded like the MDN giving Obama credit for seeking Congressional approval...at least as close as this small-town paper ever will.

What is the President of the U.S. supposed to do? Everyone should stop and take a breath; and be thankful it is still free of "sarin gas", and think about it for a moment! Iran, North Korea, China, Russia are all waiting to see if the United States will punish the Syrian leader for the internation atroscity he created. The UN should be disbanded, in my opinion, and kicked out of the country! It has been totally useless in these situations. It is history repeating itself all over. The world sits back while a thug exterminates his own people and no one gets involved until it is to late and a massive war escalates or total annalation of our world will be destroyed, because of the inaction of other countries to stop these fools! You Right to Lifers fight for the unborn! What about all those children he gased in his country? You so called Christians, Do you care?

The best for the U.S. is to stand behind the president because he has earned much trust. The same people who badgered him into the "crossed l ine" statement; by suggesting he should do something in Syria, now say he is wrong to act. No real surprise because these are the same people who supported the Iraq war. History will favor this president because he has no hidden adjenda. The world now calls the Iraq war one of our biggest mistakes. I am so thankful that the party of obstructionism, frivilous investigations and insane idealogy lost last time and is too far out there to even know why.

I've never understood Keynesian economics. My "clif notes" understanding of it is that we must spend our way out of a economic slump. In my household, that way would lead to bankruptcy. A common sense way is to be more austere, more careful with what you spend your money on during a slump time.
