They have for quite a number of years. There's been this long simmering tension between Christians in the south and Muslims in the north of Nigeria that sometimes flares up into open warfare. Both religions claim roughly equal numbers of adherents in that country.

I hadn't realized that Nigeria has had incidents of terrorism too.

At slightly less than 2 billion, Christianity makes up about a third of the world population and approximately the same as the two next largest religions combined; Islam and Hinduism. Christianity is also the only religion represented in all 238 surveyed countries.
