The city lacked too much sympathy for flood victims to take credit for the recovery. Greed ruled the recovery just as it rules oil. The local and outside volunteers deserve the bulk of the credit for our recovery. The charm of this once serene and peaceful city is--

lost for Minot. Minot's best days were before the 2011 flood. It may be a good place to work but the charm of this old railroad/farming town is gone.
