The problem is we don't know the difference between a democrat and republican in this state and addition, I know the difference and if these people who appear aren't what they appear to be then they are lying to themselves and their parties......

citizen: Now they want a new event center where the pioneer village is located on the fair grounds. What they can do is spend the money on flood control. This whole flood mess began when minot,s big money gave us hostefest instead of better flood protection. you have a vote--just say no.

Per Karen Krebsbach, some $14 to $17 million has been given to the state fair by Ward Cunty. Hostefest benefits from much of it. My feelings are every Ward County resident should get free admission to the fair and hostefest. That would make both a little less corporate welfare.

Post the 2011 flood and the awakening of many residents I doubt any sales tax could be approved again. There is little or no brag at the coffee stops for how the city handled the flood. You can always tell a fox talk listener--they are weak in the discourse and can only repeat spin. Illiterates are just trying out the republican plan to diminish education. ok for oil to pay an average of $76k, but teachers at $40k are the scum of our workforce.(just one example).Look at the U.S. after Bush II and his iraq Marlene.

This is a republican town and a republican state--mark it down. They take from everyone including the poor to pay corporate welfare. Now that our wealth has shifted to the top by their policies; they squak when some suggest wages should be higher and corporate welfare should cease. Too many of their "job creators" did their best work in china (romney).

It's illegal and we did it's the same old, same old in will come back and bite us in the tush.....but you know what they say about addition, if we know it's bad then why don't they press charges? It's time to put people in their places. What is this teaching our children? Oh that's right the good ole boys of Minot taught the next generation their manners and some of these people aren't what they appear to be and should be ashamed of themselves.......

Nick you nailed it. Not to mention ND law prohibits giving public money to any other than the poor. The practice of paying more to come to our overcrowded city is corporate greed gone mad. We already pay about $1,000 more in real estate tax and another thousand extra for services because of oil. Fresh air and a sparce population were our finest assets before oil.

I think too its time to shut it down. However if memory serves me the voters passed it in its current form. And things might have been different then certainly. But the public voted for it.
