That was a good critique, changie. It certainly was not subtle, but it was to the point. Now if only you could improve your own English skills when criticizing others in that area, it would be amazing. I suggest some improvement in sentence construction as well as paragraph content. Now, that would be a start to something wonderful, changie.

The family canceled a press release today. They were too afraid to say anything positive about Zimmerman publicly.

I agree:

Thanks, Matt, for giving credible information in spite of vehement hash-slinging.

I mean how could Zimmerman actually help someone? The left wing is broken and its flying in circles and can't get its heading right.. poor fools..

Good Letter Matt!!!!!!

I read about this "rumor" from a mainstream news source. The story included screenshots of Twitter feeds with usernames and Facebook discussion threads. All of it was documented, verifiable, and traceable to someone besides Limbaugh...

...unless of course you'd like to suggest that he's operating a bunch of fake FB and Twitter accounts to manufacture this story. But then again, these accounts can be traced to numerous actual people.

So, Matty, did you try to find out where that rumor started? Well, Rush-bo put that out on his show immediately after the news came out. You heard it, I am sure. Yep, another great conspiracy theory from the jaws of Rush. Start the fire and then run and hide.

In this debate over fact and truth, there has been a recent turn of events that solidifies my opinions about who is truly concerned about these things.

Zimmerman was recently involved in an effort with another man that resulted in two people being pulled out of a vehicle involved in a rollover crash. Even though it's been established that he was not a witness to the crash and wasn't involved in it beyond this rescue, his critics immediately came out of the woodwork and are now claiming that he intentionally caused the rollover crash so that he could arrive on the scene and be the big hero...

...all this, despite the facts.

"My only regret about this unfortunate situation is that some will try to take advantage of it, for their own unscrupulous means or ends.

"hmmmm. like the NRA?"

Well, no, I was actually thinking more of Rev. Sharpton and his "vigils" set up in major cities over the weekend.

Have you another example, willgrr?

"What is absolutely, unequivocally, undeniably and with the most certainty we regard as "FACTS" matty is that Trevor Martin is DEAD... "

Only one fact of many. This one fact does not, by itself, deliver a conviction. It was this and other facts the jury took into consideration. And all of these facts taken together led the jury to render the decision they made.

I don't know what other "facts" you think should have caused a different result. Perhaps they are secret facts that were never disclosed, that, had they just been made known, would have resulted in the verdict you wanted.

Good thing you weren't on the jury, "VERITAS", you could not have been expected to be the impartial juror we hold in such high esteem.

Matt's spot on with his comment about being "emotionally attached...and invested..." (Jul-22-13 2:58 PM).

There's more to this case than meets the eye, or so everyone with a large axe to grind would remind everyone else within hearing range.

Read the president's speech, namexxx. It had some moments of idealism and truth.

My only regret about this unfortunate situation is that some will try to take advantage of it, for their own unscrupulous means or ends.

If race relations are as the president implied in his remarks, that we have a way to go in our understanding and teaching our nation's young people, then continuing the bitterness and rancor will not help anything to get better. They'll just remain the same.

Is this what is best for our country?

Regardless of your view of the Zimmerman verdict -- what kind of person feels a need to spike the ball?

Only racist freaks would celebrate the shooting death of a high school junior walking home from the corner store with some Skittles and iced tea.

Hey, "VERITAS", why don't you learn to write before posting such harsh invectives? Your "comment" on here makes you sound like a blithering buffoon.

If it was my kid who was "gunned down" in the street--or anyone else who has become so emotionally attached to and invested in one side of this case or the other--I wouldn't pretend to be able to render a dispassionate, fact-based judgment.

Racism is a mental illness. It makes people say and do insane things.

REALITY CHECK for Minnesota Matt:

If it was your kid that was gunned down in the street -- and the murderer walked away scot free -- you wouldn't think the justice system had worked so awfully well.
