North Hill Kmart with a poulation of 28,000 compared to a second Wal-Mart with pushing 50,000 is like comparing apples and oranges.

Lefty, you are the one voting to give it to them all the time. Like stray animals, the more you feed, the more they hang around.

Wal-Mart recently announced plans to open its first stores in India and China.

Tags on the items will read: "Made Here."

Nancy, go back to bed. I for one am tired of all the North Hill residents driving to MY neighborhood disturbing MY peace and quiet, MY neighborhood went a long time ago. as for the second Wal-Mart, private company, build where you want. Have you been to the overcrowded Wal-Mart we have now? Second one is needed, for sure. Write a letter to Costco, see if they will come but what is your thing with paying a membership to shop somewhere since you want both Costoc and Sam's Club?

I'm against building up north because I'm worried the new north Walmart would get flooded....that would be a bad feeling....

Maybe when you built your homes up there they also said darn there goes the neighborhood..

And then of course you do know you are not forced to shop there right? Thats one freedom they have still allowed us to have in America and that is to choose the places we shop..

Well, Nancy. My parents live on North Hill. When they need to do a Walmart or Target run, they have to drive across town. They would actually like to be able to run their errands more easily since my mother is disable. Not everyone on North Hill is against WalMart locating there.

Say, Nancy, since when are you allowed to write letters to the MDN two weeks in a row? Last time I heard, you were allowed once a month!

"Did the residents of the city of Minot really think they wouldn't build one there on North Hill? It's who you know and how much money is being lined in the pockets. Why don't we do something constructive like build a Sam's Club or Cosco?"

Lined in the pockets? Sam's Club? You DO realize that if it's a Sam's Club, the same pockets are being lined as with a Wal Mart...right? I mean, you DO understand that...right?

Do you think the City decides what to build and where? It is PRIVATE development chosen by a company that has done market research. I'm not sure how you think "We" can build a Sam's Club or Costco.
