Bring it on. We need more businesses at the north end of town. Pace Development aka Marketplace Foods is opposed to it because of the grocery store. I well remember the flood and the 2 to 3 hour drive, 1 way, from ING to Walmart.

Trinity is not a for profit based hospital. It was started by a group of mainly Lutheran churches and maintains its non-profit status. It is too bad St Joe's - Unimed - went under. It was sold three times - a couple of times to for profit medical organizations. I understand that there are other medical entities looking at building in Minot. Grand Forks has only one hospital, too, and has for years - much longer than Minot.

North Hill residents have no issue driving through MY neighborhood to go to the stores on South Hill. Again, they wanted it and Minot needs it, so here you go northern folk!

Ask yourselves, why don't we have a second hospital to compete with Trinity? With a community going like this, and with the base hospital closed our medical personnel have no options, but to work for Trinity a for profit hospital. That is a monopoly under the law.

Yes, I remember all the crying and whining from the northern residents during the flood that they couldn't get any services! Now their answers are solved and tbe Walmart should have been built on North Hill in the first place due to the fact that the base is north of Minot to reduce the load of traffic on South Broadway! Marketplace foods doesn't want it because of the competition period! This little town has a small little business organization that likes to control who and where companies can and cannot come into this little community. Fact.
