The second K-Mart store came readily to mind when reading this story...

Remember when we had 2 K-marts? I wonder how long the North Wal-mart will be open. I think Minot is overbuilding for what they are hoping is going to happen as far as growth... if the 57% hotel occupancy rate is any indication as to if we are overbuilding??? The positive is people on the north side don't have to drive to the south side to do their Wal-mart shopping.

I'm utterly shocked and disappointed in you Amy. It’s just a Walmart store. As a city council member you should be promoting the development of the city, it's call progress. Are you against progress? What’s good for the goose is also good for the gander.

Market place wasn't an indicator that the area would be developed? Most of those homes have gone in since the "birth" of the new marketplace and new what was in store for the area.

Why this location? There is property for sale on North Broadway where we have access to a four-lane highway already. Obviously some members of our council have little regard for the opinions of the area residents. Please remember them when they face reelection! If we are to take back our government, let's start locally. I'm tired of being dictated to by bankers, developers, and real estate agents!

Another Wal-Mart? Really? I know it's been discussed for years, but I didn't think anything would come of it.

If we can "choose to be picky", why do we still have the MAGIC fund...

She was not the deciding factor nor should she have been. If you read the article, council voted to approve in spite of young girls fears.
