This story really stinks(had to say it)..how we gonna make the transition to politics on this smelly story?....Hmmm...I know its Obamas fault for not approving the Keystone pipeline...that would have relieved these aging lift stations perhaps...vote BUSH/CHENEY 2016

The residents of this neighborhood (up to 25 as stated in the article) have made the problem clear to the City of Minot and have even brought proof via pictures to the entire City Council. The Councils reaction... they raise their taxes by 50% this year.

When the city refused to accept the $150 million from the feds to raise the flood plain a few feet...the feds should have cut off all funding to the city until they comply with common sense...its not like manhattan here folks...there is plenty of land to build above 1561'.

Why is the Minot Daily News doing a story on this problem when other people's sewers backed up in December 2012 two weeks before Christmas in Northwest Minot near Longfellow and some had just moved back into their house from the flood and had to rebuild their houses? Hmmm... and I am sure most people are getting water in their basements....makes no sense to me?
