Are you kidding?!?!? With the amount of construction going on in the Minot area, this place is a goldmine for a store like Home Depot. They aren't going to go out of business. Their business will be flourishing here. *******friendship.in****/

They are going to build a new warehouse to store merchandise? Haha that is funny stuff! They should just go back down to Bismarck and repurchase their big empty store that closed shop after only 2 years! The store was across the street from Menards. The place was like a morgue inside all the time. Yeah right.....orders will ship to store the next day...what are they smoking.

@jacksonville021: You know what they say about assumptions. I bet the Home Depot that was in Bismarck expected the same before they shuttered their doors and left a huge box building behind.

hmmm...let's see, Mac's, Ace, Menards, Home of Economy...not sure if you can count them as "mom and pop" hardware stores?

Great news for Minot, and bet the folks over in Williston are as well. Article in the Williston paper said Home Depot bought a 20,000 sq ft warehouse and it will be gutted and remodeled into a mini Home Depot until they decide if they want to build a full size Home Depot in that town. I'm betting they will.

There will be no shipping surcharge to the customer to get an item they want. Barker says that the company is "willing to eat that cost to get us in the market and let people know that, 'hey, we're here." Items should be delivered to the Minot store by noon the next day.
