So if airport traffic is down in Minot, do we really need to build a new huge terminal bigger and better than Bismarck's? Especially since Williston is building a larger airport to handle their passengers that USED to drive to Minot. I am guessing Minot's numbers will decrease more and more as Williston gets more service and larger plane's with their new airport?

Oh, Minot is going ahead with the new terminal at this point no matter what. In fact, they will probably speed up the process so it can get built before anymore bad news comes out.

after the last couple of trip out of minot the service was terrible the parking if your charging you should be more accomadating. best thing thats happened is williston getting more flights at least we arent held captive of your airport

Nothing like bunch of negative knuckleheads putting their two cents in. This city needs a new airport so deal with it...

Thank you Annie88.

Yes its not great that there was a decrease. But you can pretty much guarantee that MOT will still handle well over 200,000 boardings this year in a terminal designed for a maximum of 100,000. If you've flown through in the last 2-3 years you know its not an enjoyable experience.

Four airlines currently operate out of two gates, with planes unloading on the tarmac at times as well. MOT has no chance to grow right now unless more gates and departure areas are added. If the airport can barely hold current airlines and passengers, imagine what it would be like in 10-20 years when the population of our region is much higher.
