I am glad Minot has the State Fairgrounds, but am curious who gets the revenue generated when Minot puts on activities on the State Fairground and in it's facilities such as the BIG ONE craft sale, Norst Hostgest, etc...?? I am guessing they lease the facility from the state since the state is putting the money into and maintaining the facilities?

I believe that the ND State Fair is the highest attended State Fair per capita in the USA. It is well attended and a great fair. I love the exhibits - especially from the kids.

I remember when the state fair was fair, looks to be a sinkhole for money now days. The state funds are supposed to put the fair on for the public for something to do in this very rural and sparsely populated state. When did the almighty dollar become more important than every families, no matter how little money they have, ability to take in the fair for a much earned retreat from work and have at least a couple of days of family time that doesn't cost an arm and a leg???
