I think the older people on fixed incomes need more help than the young people. The older people have worked all their lives and are just plain to worn out to work more but the young people they have the rest of their lives to work and pay for what they want. I suppose it never hurts to ask for free stuff and also it never hurts to say no.

What better to sacrifice for if not for your childs education. If you have children, it comes with the territory. There are about a gazillion programs to help kids through college. Even a loan program for kids who when they get a job can pay back in time. OUr kids are doing it, I think it is a great way to teach some responsibility. If you get it for nothing, that is usually what it means to you.

We need totally funded birth to college for each and every child. No longer should the parent have to sacrifice for the welfare of the kids they produce.
