I think the Rice Lake article in today paper is very spot on except for a couple of things. 1st. I met face to face with Delos Haugen about his crop loss and agreed to compinsate him for dammaged to his crop if it was caused by us. He has notr contaced us with any damage report or value in the last two years. I am now no longer a board member but they will still honer the comentment if there is damage to his crop. 2nd. Most of the properity we are pumping on to is foot prints and grass, there is only a small section that is suitable for crops which we are compinsating the renter for. There is only one plan the state has agreed to back and that is the plan in place, we dont like to have to do this or the cost involved, but there are a lot of properitys affected including the public beach and boat landing. If there is truly a more feasable plan, not just ideas to make people happy I am sure the board will listen with open ears. Bob Hargrave

Stop pumping and lower the water by lowering the retaining structures or move everything up hill. Otherwise the people must want to live with all the problems and expense of having property damage caused now and in the future. Those people can always hope for a severe drought to lower the water table in the entire State but I hope no one wishes that on us.
