Is Rice Lake fed through an underground gravel or sand seam from Lake Sakakawea or the Mcclusky Canal? Maybe an aquifer? It has to be coming from somewhere, or is there a large amount of farmland being drained into it?

People who have cabins at Rice Lake have told me it is spring fed.
Hi Nancy1, If Rice Lake is spring fed now I would assume it has always been spring fed and there certainly must be some signs of where the water has been running to for the eons of time before it was*******up. I have always been amazed that the water level of Sakakawea can be over 1800 ft. elevation and with many lakes and waterways outside the Missouri drainage are lower elevation that the water does not find away to the lower elevations through the soil and geological formations below lake Sakakawea.
Yes I don't know - could be why it continues to fill even though they keep pumping water out of it. Not sure.
