I could get on board the put up or shut up train if these roads haven't been complete garbage for many years. The city keeps trying to use band aids on sucking chest wounds. The people have been complaining about the state of the roads around here for years, taxes keep going up every year and the road conditions are not improving. I say it's time for the city to put up or shut up!

It's time to stand up for the people and take back the City of Minot. I agree with Nancy, even with potholes, you try to slow down the person behind you is impatient and goes around you put yourself in danger.....sorry pay too good money for our vehicles to be ruined.....Minot needs to take cues from Grand Forks and Bismarck as for fixing the roads, traffic situations and so forth......Yes we put up with and shutting up in not solving the problems...and God forbid if you're not from here and suggest something good for the community you are a bad person...we have professional bullies and not just in the schools we need to get rid of.......

Well, the city assessor has been busier than ever and he did his job of assessing properties in Minot 27 percent higher, so you can't say they haven't been busy. Collecting money from Minot's homeowners takes top priority.

Mission Accomplished!

The city assessor position must have an adequate pay scale.

I agree that some of the city employees ie., police, street maintenance, garbage, and other various jobs don't make what they deserve. The mayor makes pennies for what the job demands. I don't know what council members make but they all have regular jobs and I can't imagine them making very much. The pot holes are frustrating but we are mid-April with freezing temps and a blizzard on our doorstep. Beating this "get rid of them all" drum is kinda played out. As Born and Raised said, "put up or shut up.".

Maybe Nancy should put up or shut up. I have yet to see her name on any election ballots. She won't either because she's too afraid of what the job actually entails. No easy solutions, p!ss poor pay, and people (like Nancy) never happy whatever your decision is. Try keeping employees around when the oil field is constantly pulling them away. Pot holes suck, yes, but fixing pot holes now would be a waste of money due to the cold temps. Ever see anyone paint their house in freezing weather? Put your money where your big mouth is or shut it!

Could it be their heads are not in the clouds but in an opposite, more southerly direction?

100% in agreement with Nancy, The city council needs to be replaced. To much I scratch your back and you scratch my back! And for "DISGUSTED" as for your comment, read her letter in full. She is taking about the city council as a whole not just potholes, which has gotten out of control.

IF you had been payiny attention f the last 10 days, the city has reported that they are doing temp work on the pot holes that occured over winter. The temperature needs to warm up before more permanent repairs can be done. Use your energy elsewhere. We get tired of your useless rants.
