3 longshoremen have been killed working the docks out here in the last month. The port is calling them "accidents" Maybe they are "playing dumb" also?

1st off, my condolences to the families. 2nd, several permit required confined space questions need to be asked. Was there a air sample taken? Was there a "runner"? was either guy wearing an air sampling meter, or where they told just to go clean it out and hurry up? Was the required PPE worn? Did the supervisor do a confined space permit for the operation? Where the guys PROPERLY trained and did the UNDERSTADN their tasks? Hopefully the families or friends of these guys are reading this and pass these on to OSHA and a good lawyer who understands safety requirements.
