I bet ol Teddy would have loved an oil well outside his door. The state of ND issues the permits to drill so don't blame the oil companies where they are drilling. If the state don't want them there they don't issue a permit, that's to simple isn't it.

I am so sad that the oil wells are spoiling the "untouched" view in ND. I know it is progress but I can't help but feel sad about what is gone. I also dislike the look of all those ugly windmills on the way to Bismarck. I guess it is progress but they are ugly and that is not disputable.

I agree with Curly about the windmills looking surreal, especially at dawn or dusk.
