No one is talking about the amount of water the river in Minot can withstand. The river banks are still torn up from the 2011 flood. There is no way the water will be contained in some areas of the city if these aren't repaired before a possibly heavy spring melt. The clock is ticking people...hear it? The Minot Daily needs to look into this.

"IF" it floods this year, the city of Minot city council won't look so good, turning down $150 million from the feds in exchange to raise the flood plain a few feet....they would rather make us pay a one cent sales tax...Socialism for the rich , capitalism for the rest ! ! !
