Then matman if it moves...tax it. When it stops moving subsidize it.
It's the Democrats way of doing business.

Libs have a very clear message...Profits are bad and large profits are really bad. It is their job to extricate every penny not just to run the government but to GROW the government. More Christmas Free stuff.

Legend
Our state has been under republican control for ages. We hardly noticed the 2008 crash because we had so little business to lose. Wages were pathetic--and you brag about it? Now we witness oil with a free reign and the defacing of western N.D. Oil is a republican organization. N.D. did not change it's business attitude when oil came--it just looked the other way to the noise, filth, dust, congestion and pollution of oil far the sake of greed. The legacy of this current state government will be the rape of western N.D.

How come Republicans cut corporate taxes so much compared to banks that banks now are paying about twice the rate of other corporations. Is it because banks can't pick up and move? The rates were pretty close but banks got a 1/2% and others over 2% cuts.
The biggest business problem in ND right now is getting help. Yet ND is dropping in quality of life measures. Dems support housing, child care and so on. Not going to help any business much if you have low tax rates and have to close the door because you can't find help.

Gosh, loco, I thought at least you would research this bill before making a comment and looking foolish with the other clueless wingers. What does this bill really do? It gives lots of money to big corporations so they can contribute to the Republican campaigns. Did you know that almost 50% of the millions to be given away will go to 10 huge out of state corporations like Wallmart, Lowes, etc. I am sure that does not bother you at all. There were about 4500 corporations that file in ND. Really, ten of them take home millions and most of the rest get nothing. Of the 4500 corporations, almost half are from out of state and they*****up over 82% of the tax break. So, our ND corporations get to split up a whole big 18% of the pie. Isn't that just ducky..But, it is the Republican way and you guys drink the kool aide...look it up, loco.

Dusty, you are never going to change are you? You make all kinds of accusations and never have the facts. We are talking about the Republican party of ND getting contributions from registered corporations doing business in ND. Now, Wallmart is certainly one of them. Let me see-- oh, yes since 1990 to 2014 cycles they contribute almost 70% Republican. The Walton family is even more Red. Now, Scheels is 100% red. Basin Electric is red. Sanford Health is red. Lowes is 80% red. So, those top ten that get 50% of the tax gift from the ND Republican legislators donate almost all donate to the red side. You don't know what you are talking about as usual. You are just as big a bloviating loser now as you were before.

RED IS GOOD, BLUE IS BAD. Now I get it. Blue is the color of my dear little centerfold, err field eyes. But within those cold, cold veins runs blood that is cold blue. Yep, that is our girl centerfold who once was charged with Duracell batteries. They are dead and discarded in some landfill somewhere.

Dems do not like corporations unless of course when money is really needed...Remember the headlines "LIBS party on corporate money" in NC...thank you Duke Energy AND all. Money talks...remember the purchase of votes for Obama Care...all LIBS were bought off. Wonder where that money came from???

Nice on topic reply. Like I stated earlier, when you have NOTHING to add to the topic, you go back to Fox News material.

centerfield, if I even begin to "look foolish," I'm sure you'll be one of the first to let me know. Thanks ever so.
Yeah, those big, bad Reps (never, ever Dems - I get it) and all their mean, nasty policies/politics are sooooo "unfair" here in ND, even if many are RINOs, like disgusted says.
Yes, I haven't read the bill in its minute entirety, but I'm willing to say that overall, I support a business-friendly state as opposed to a state less business-friendly. CA comes to mind just now.
I appreciate living in an economy where there are jobs to be filled. Of course, the "devil's in the details" with any proposed taxes, but we will count on you, center, to inform us of any "injustices" (read: class envy) in the proposals.
Now if you think that treating businesses here like they do in CA et al (huge taxes, etc) will lead to more businesses & jobs for ND, you do know that you'd have another think coming, right?

LIBS. A buck is a buck. LIBS get all torqued when a "corporate/business " buck gets into the political arena... Bad bar bad Koch bros. good good Soros (real name Schwartz of Jewish decent on the side of the Nazi during WWII) bucks. Bad bad from profit dollars...good good from union dues stripped from workers w/o options. Loco..u should talk to business people in CA. Hurting comes to mind..and people/businesses are moving out and despite ever increasing taxes and tax rates tax revenue decreases. Los Angeles, it is reported..not my words.. is steps away from bankruptcy. as in my life time unless Our Dear Leader ships out a trillion or two and that ain't a pipe dream...LA Times articles are pushing hard for fracking up in a valley in middle CA. LIBS pushing oil. A buck is a buck.

Come on, loco, you can do better than that. If we are going to give tax breaks to businesses, then lets give it to the ones who need it the most. Those ten corporations from out of state who will receive millions from this bad bill, had a profit last year of over 3.5 Billion dollars. But you would rather give them an extra 30 million or so instead of spreading it out among the smaller ND based businesses? Would it not be a better business climate in ND if you helped these small businesses out a little more? You really don't believe what you wrote that it is a good business climate to pass over the little guys... Republican hogwash.

I know that hogwash can be Democratic (notice the PC spelling) as well as Republican, but centerfield doesn't have as broad a view of hogwash as I do.
Too bad. And so much for "center." It's looking more like "left" all the time.

What do I consider a business- friendly state? A little less in levied corporate taxes than the "progressive" states, so that when they're considering leaving their high-tax states, they might consider coming here to the Great Plains instead.
But, there are trade-offs. #1) Businesses will have to accept the reality of our state's rural status and heritage. #2) Workers also have to accept (you guessed it) the reality of our state's rural status and heritage. But once #1-2 are acknowledged, ND has many benefits for business: a hard-working, usually better-educated workforce & a quality of life unlike an urban metropolis--that's not all bad, y'know.

And why do you think they are drilling in ND? Its because of the Republicans in spite of the Democrats.
If Obama could only get control of the leaders in ND he could shut all this success down. North Dakota is a big thorn in Obamas side and he doesn't know how to handle it does he?
All that oil and he just cannot seem to shut it down..
