Just remember that all the "benefits" you "get" from the government had to be stolen from someone else first.

if you want something, anything no matter what passed, just say "it's for the children", and then anyone against it looks like a bad bad conservative that doesn't want to save kids, old people, poor people, etc....and the MSM will play along.

If they can add the cost of that extra milk to the budget they can pilfer more cash. Much like the 48 passenger school buses running around with 5-6 kids in them. I asked why not downsize to what looks sensible and was told "oh no we would get less money for our budget", whoever heard of trimming a budget.

Sad, isn't it? Hoeven and Dalrymple are leading the pak.

Yep, there are more R's than D's, but there is no shortage of big spenders. The RINO's outnumber republicans and democrats combined.

I suppose the small proportion of Democrats in the ND House and Senate has led to some of the political grandstanding. Any attention is good attention, eh?

Now as for the national scene...I don't get that yet.

He did not tell the rest of the story. He neglected to include Rep. Boshee(D)'s comment about the e-mails sent out by the democrat committee over the mfg controvery were less than tasteful. They used that to raise money for the democrat party. He neglected to write that J. Kelsh(D) apologized to everyone for using this as a possible partisan bill, but he felt it was and is a good bill. They didn't fill their little milk cartons they set up in protest to the defeat of the bill.

Does anyone really think children will drink 3 pints of mild by noon? Lower elementary grades are much too little to drink that much milk before noon. If they are anything like my grandkids, they will throw most of it away anyway. What in the world is wrong with a cup of water if there is thirst after recess? There is also the calorie issue of additional milk. Many children are already getting too heavy. Adding more milk will only make that worse as well.
