The church is putting the cart before the horse. When they have $3 million raised, they can go before the council. To say they are in the pledge signing stage only, is quite premature when asking to elimiate several parking spots, an alley, move a main water pipe and power lines. In the best case scenario, moving the water pipe will be a major undertaking. And we all know that we do NOT know what lies beneath the ground. Signage for those who have difficulty finding the soup kitchen would be a quick fix for now.

What does expanding the church and adding new facilities have to do with flood recovery? It looks like they are trying to pack two pounds of crap into a one pound can.
