Base’s budget bump: Minot Air Force Base adds $522.6M to local economy

Thank You! Finally some positive credit to the Minot Air Base for Minot's population and economic growth. For a couple years, all we heard was how Minot was booming because of the Oil Boom further west...everyone knows very little of Minot's growth is because of the oil, but instead the huge growth in personal and families at the Air Base. This article confirms and gives the Minot Air Base some needed recognition and CREDIT for Minot's recent growth. Oil plays some part, but very little compared to the base.
