So worried, in war would you rather our soldiers use nerf guns?

More Americans have died just since 1960 from gun incidents — suicides, accidents, and homicides — than died in every war in U.S. history. The deadliest war the U.S. has ever had is the war we waged against ourselves. 1,400,000 dead Americans due to guns.

So basically what we need to do is not gun control, but people control who own guns!

lorexxx so you are saying the ex-LAPD man running around somewhere threatening to kill other police officers and their families is a sane person? So how can we control sane legal gun owners from killing other people then?

I feel as soon as the AR ban is enacted, that I will lose all my fears. And will once again be able to show myself in public without fear of being shot...

Poor worried is still a prisoner in his own home and in front of his computer. “So the answer is to be a prisoner in your own home. Next thing we will have start putting bars on our windows and doors like in Denver! Guard fences, alarm systems with survelience cameras and guard dogs. Sounds like freedom to me!”, states poor worried. Is this a sign of paranoia or what?
Perhaps he should examine the hearts of man for that answer. Baseline: I want what is yours, sound familiar? And most of these reasons have been around mankind since the days of Cain and Able. But since moral law Is declining, so is crime increasing.

How do all these insane people get access to legally purchased massive killing machines? Why aren't these legal gun owners not being held responsible for safely registering and locking up these weapons? You have to register your car every year, but not a weapon? Why?

The focus on the assault rifle ban is misplaced. The media chooses to not look at the real problem. We already have automatic rifle laws. People are such sheep and are lead along. How many of these mass shootings are done by sane people?

Historians with hidden agendas like to cloak old evils in nice new shinning words.
Slavery becomes feudalism, dictatorship becomes kingship
Slavery is achieved by: Demeaning people - classify them as Heathens - Barbarians - Uncouth Use wars, force or threats of any nature
Restrict their freedom of movement - speech - livelihood
Impose grinding obligations
A known source, you are on a 'need to know' basis only, so you are forced to ask.

"Last time I checked we still have a democracy in this country and we do not utilize it. The American people as a whole need to stand up for their rights as citizens, capable of making their own life decisions." Now that right there is the answer. The problem is us.

lorexxx you of course miss my point as usual. We need to hire more police like the Clinton administration did and stronger gun control to end this gun violence. We cannot have all these guns out there and all these crazy people with them settling their grievences with shootouts!

We have an ex-LA policeman running around killing people now! I do believe we need to deal with all this violence.

You’re delusional to think all of this has any effect in crime stopping and criminal activity. But I suppose building more mental health institutions you would favor, as it would create more Obama jobs. And your friends, the ACLU would have more work to do defending them.
The problem has been around a long time and you think all aspects should now be looked at. Just great.

All aspects should be looked at on this issue. Background checks, limited gun magazine capacity, mental health issues, and a national gun registery.

Then worried, what is your solution to the problem? We can't deny that violence and other crimes are on the rise...so what's your answer to it all?

lorexxx's believes the conservative attitude is the way to go "RIGHT means MIGHT!" put more guns out there to battle gun violence! So the answer is to be a prisoner in your own home. Next thing we will have start putting bars on our windows and doors like in Denver! Guard fences, alarm systems with survelience cameras and guard dogs. Sounds like freedom to me!

Lawlessness breaking out in North Dakota? Unheard of since the days of the Wild, Wild West. Percentage wise the homicide rate was less and the justice was swift. Now we can’t build jails fast enough and all the inmates are innocent. Aaah, the Great Society we’ve become. Prelude to things to come and some welcome the transition...to Banana Republic.

Lets carry our guns in our schools, churchs,on the streets, in the bars, at the ball parks, at the high school & grade school events. Don't agree with a call on the field just pull out the old 45 and threaten the referee until you get you way. Don't want anyone to infringe upon your RIGHTS RIGHT!

I agree with the "Newsflash" aspect of your comment, lorexxx.
NW ND is no longer Small Town America, period. We have become the End of the Economic Rainbow to many people, who are nice or naughty. As such, people locking cars & house doors, women purchasing pepper spray (!), parents keeping a stricter eye out for kids, some folks choosing to shop only in daylight hours, etc. are now part of the new way of life here.
So be it. Better safe than sorry.
