You must live on South Hill. You would NOT complain about food and even WalMart on North Hill if you had driven hours to just get across town for food or medicine during the flood. Those 'conveniences' are long over due in Minot.

The politicians and the land developers have already gotten their state and federal welfare money! Logic and common sense went out the window the moment they got there chance to stick it to the taxpayers,the homeowners, and all the flood victims! They got their North Walmart, their new North MarketPlace Food store, More Motels, excuse to spend more money on infastructure. Triple the size of the city budget!

A lttle common sense goes a long way. One would think that repairing the levees would be first priority. It seems that the government always hides behind some study, rather than using their brains. Is our government going to be more vigilent in watching Canada? Seems we could hire Jim Olson for his wisdom and vigilence a whole lot cheaper and more effectively. Once the repair is done on the levees and d i k e s, the scheduled upkeep should be more frequently than every 40 years.
