Businesses look forward to improved roadway

Dave Shomento at Sammy’s Pizza hopes the construction crew on the North Broadway project this summer works up a good appetite.
Knowing that some people won’t want to navigate road construction to get to the restaurant, Shomento is looking to maintain sales this summer through pizza deliveries and hungry construction workers.
“We are going to try and feed all these construction workers during the summer because they have to eat someplace,” he said.
Regardless of what happens, Shomento and other property owners along the stretch of Broadway from Fourth to University avenues are happy to see the road work being done.
