Minot: National Alliance on Mental Illness Family-to-Family Education program
September 28, 2008

The first meeting of The National Alliance on Mental Illness Family-to-Family Education program in Minot will be Sept. 28 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. The class runs for 12 weeks. It is for families or friends of people who have a brain disorder (mental illness). There is no cost to attend. The course includes information on bipolar disorder, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, anxiety disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder, coping skills during times of crisis, communicating with the loved one is ill, problem solving, how the brain functions and medications and other treatments.
