Christmas music performed by the Sunshine Brass of Sidney, Mont: 2 to 4 p.m., Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center, 22 miles southwest of Williston. Fort Union Trading Post activities in Williston: Continues Sunday at the fort 25 miles southwest of Williston. The Fort Union Muzzle Loaders will occupy Fort Union Trading Post to reenact the role of American Fur Co. employees during the winters. Call 572-9083 for more information.

The 100th anniversary of Minot's first performance of Handel's "Messiah": 4 p.m., Minot Municipal Auditorium. The Minot Heritage Singers and Voices of Note will be joined by other area singers and the Minot State University Concert Choir in the performance. This event's profits will go to scholarships for Minot State University music students.
The 39th Annual Celebration of Christmas Music, "Joy to the World," presented by an international chorus from Canada and North Dakota: 4 p.m., Concordia Lutheran Church, Crosby. The concert will be presented by the Northwest Chorus, Crosby, and the Southeast Chorus, Estevan, Saskatchewan, directed by Ed Retzer. Tickets are $15 for a family; $5 for adults; $3 for students in grades one through eight; and free for preschoolers.
Tioga Christmas Candlelight Concert: 7 p.m., First Lutheran Church, Tioga. Christmas music will be performed by various instumentalists and vocal groups, followed by Christmas treats, cider and coffee. The concert is free and open to the public.
First Assembly of God's Singing Christmas Tree, "The Journey to the Manger": Performance dates are Sunday and Dec. 9, 11 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 13 at 4:30 p.m. in the church. Tickets may be picked up at the church office weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at 1805-2nd St. SE or may be ordered by calling 838-1111.

Main Street Books in downtown Minot will offer story time Sundays in December: 1 p.m., 106 S. Main St. Story times will feature holiday themed books and activities geared for children ages 4-7. All activities are free and a snack will be served.
