Soup kitchen: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Faith United Methodist Church, 801 W. University Ave. The church's food and clothing pantry is open Mondays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Wednesdays from 2 to 4 p.m.

2nd Story Social Club's Dot's Cooking Night: 6 p.m., 13-1st Ave. SW.

The 39th Annual Nights of Christmas event: Continues Monday and Tuesday, 7 p.m., Lakeside Christian Center, Lake Metigoshe, near Bottineau. The evergreen trees are decorated with Christmas lights and staff members from the 2009 summer camp will sing, worship and laugh with visitors. A freewill offering will be accepted to support the work of Metigoshe Ministries. Each night will feature a different musical program. Monday's program will feature the a cappella group, Home Free, from Minnesota.
