Soup kitchen: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Seventh-day Adventist Church, 10-17th Ave. SW.
The 39th Annual Nights of Christmas event: Sunday through Tuesday, 7 p.m., Lakeside Christian Center, Lake Metigoshe, near Bottineau. The evergreen trees are decorated with Christmas lights and staff members from the 2009 summer camp will sing, worship and laugh with visitors. A freewill offering will be accepted to support the work of Metigoshe Ministries. Each night will feature a diferent musical program. Sunday's program will feature the women's barbershop quartet, Cheaper Than Therapy, and Janet Sorenson, who will perform yuletide yodeling. Sunday's program is sponsored by Thrivent Financial For Lutherans.

YOUTH EVENTS
Main Street Books in downtown Minot story time: 1 p.m., 106 S. Main St. Story time will feature holiday themed books and activities geared for children ages 4-7. All activities are free and a snack will be served.
