BELL RINGERS NEEDED: The annual Salvation Army Bell Ringing Campaign needs volunteer bell ringers. The campaign is under way and will continue through Dec. 24. METIGOSHE NIGHTS OF CHRISTMAS: Metigoshe Ministries's 38th Annual Nights of Christmas will be Dec. 27-29 at 7 p.m. at Metigoshe Christian Center, Lake Metigoshe, near Bottineau. YOUTH NEW YEAR'S PARTY: Minot Youth for Christ and area charges are sponsoring "The Living End" New Year's Party for area middle school and high school students, grades six through 12, on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, in Minot. Registration is at 6:45 p.m. with the party from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. in Our Redeemer's Christian School gym. Activities will include volleyball, basketball and team gym games, an inflatable obstacle course, jousting, snacks, a performance by the Stay Out Late band, videos and wacky skits. MSU ALUMNI POKER FUNDRAISER: The North Dakota Texas Hold'em Poker Championship Tournament, sponsored by the Minot State University Alumni Association, will be Dec. 31 through Jan. 3 at the Vegas Motel, Minot. The charity poker tournament raises money for MSU's scholarship fund and is expected to draw about 1,300 players from across the country and Canada. Call 839-3000 for more information.
BENEFIT CONCERT: Beardstock, a benefit concert for the Minot Homeless Coalition, will be Jan. 3 at 6 p.m. in the Grand International Inn in Minot. Stay Out Late will perform. The cost to attend is $6 per person or $5 if people bring a canned good to donate. The band Stay Out Late will perform.

CHILDREN'S ACTING CLASSES: Mouse River Players Community Theatre in Minot will offer youth acting classes Jan. 10, 17, 24 and 31 for youth ages 8-13, taught by experienced actors, from 10:30 a.m. to noon in The Arlene Saugstad Theater of the Mouse River Players building, downtown Minot, 115-1st St. SE. The first session is Set Up, the second is Warm Up, the third is Act Up, and the fourth is Lights Up. The first three sessions deal with understanding of set and stage movement. Topics covered will include the application process, financial aid programs, scholarship deadlines, how to avoid scams and financial aid myths. DRIVERS NEEDED: The North Dakota Association for the Disabled in Minot needs drivers to transport individuals to out-of-town medical appointments. Drivers would use their own vehicles and would get mileage reimbursement. A van accessible for transporting people with handicaps is also available for some appointments. WISH LIST: The 2nd Story Social Club has a wish list of items needed. YWCA CLASSES: The Minot YWCA is accepting applications for Pilates Class and Yoga Class.
