First Baptist Church of Minot will present the Christmas musical "A Baby Changes Everything": 8:30 and 11:05 a.m., in the church, 200-3rd St. SW. The performance is free and open to the public.

The Minot Eagles Auxiliary will have a fundraising breakfast to raise money for charity: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m, Minot Knights of Columbus Club, 2601 N. Broadway. Pancakes, sausage and scrambled eggs will be served. The cost is $4.50 per person. Preschoolers may eat for free.

The choir and orchestra of the Immanuel Baptist Church will present the musical "Only Love": 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., in the church, 1615-2nd St. SE. The choir and the children's choir will sing new and well-known Christmas songs. Tickets are not required but a freewill offering will be accepted. A nursery will be provided.

Faith United Methodist Church choir will present a Christmas cantata, "The Mystery and the Majesty" by Joseph M. Martin: in the church at 10:45 a.m. and also at 7 p.m. at Dakota Terrace, Minot. The performances are free and open to the public. A mini bazaar will follow the morning worship service in the church. Craft items, quilts and baked goods will be sold.

Soup kitchen: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Seventh-day Adventist Church, 10-17th Ave. SW.

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Elizabeth #170, in Minot, will sponsor a Christmas Tour of Homes and bake sale: The tour of homes will be from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The bake sale will be from noon to 4 p.m. in St. Leo's Community Center, 105-1st St. SE. Homes on the tour will be located at 1017-52nd St. SE, 208-28th Ave. SE, 908-15 1/2 Ave. SE, 1406-31st Ave. SE and 1732-16th St. NW. Tickets, available at Artistry Hairstylists and Electrolysis Salon, Marco's Restaurant or Neiss Impressions or by calling Verla at 837-0055 or Arlene at 838-1757, are $8 in advance. Tickets will be $10 at the door.

The Minot State University theater will present "Alice in Wonderland": 2 p.m. MSU's Aleshire Theater, Hartnett Hall. The show is a fundraiser for Campus Players so is not covered under student I.D. activity fees. Tickets are $6 adults and $5 for seniors and students. The Cando Arts Council presents Special Delivery, "A Christmas Concert," with special guests Silver Strings: 2 p.m., Cando Audi Theater.

"Cold Feet" runs in New Rockford's Opera House Sundays at 2:30 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. through Dec. 20. "Cold Feet" is a musical romp through the lives of four committed bachelors on the most important night of their lives at Hanson's Bar in New Rockford. A cast of four actor/musicians blaze a journey through the landscape of their lives and relationships, discovering each other's secrets, healing old wounds, and ultimately helping each other deal with their biggest fear: Women. Tickets are $19 and seats can be reserved by calling 947-2174, or online at (www.dprca.com).

The Williston State College Music Department will present a concert by the WSC Concert Choir and Community Chorale: 3 p.m., First Lutheran Church, Williston. The concert is open to the public and admission is $5 per person except for WSC students, faculty and staff and their spouses who will be admitted for free with a WSC identification card.

Brass Band of Minot's Annual Christmas Concert, "A Touch of Brass": 4 p.m., Minot State University's Ann Nicole Nelson Hall. Gordon Troxel is the director. The concert is free and open to the public.

First Assembly of God's Singing Christmas Tree, "The Journey to the Manger": 4:30 p.m. in the church. Advance tickets are needed. Call 838-1111 for more information.

Light Up Lansford contest: Judging will be Sunday for the contest sponsored by the Lansford Teens for Christ. The group will award cash prizes for the Lansford Christmas lighting contest. There will be a prize for best religious display in the city; best religious display, rural; best general display in the city; best general display, rural; and a best business, church or organization display award. Soup and chili feed, 6 p.m., Lansford Community Center. Food will be from Schepps Dakota Deli. The Teens for Christ organization will supply bars and cookies. This will be a freewill offering. There will be a program at 7 p.m. with skits, music and a visit from Santa.

The Western Plains Children's Choirs in partnership with the Western Plains Opera Company will perform the annual Christmas Concert: 7 p.m., MSU's Ann Nicole Hall. The program, titled "Singing Christmas, Bringing Peace," will include songs from Brazil, Mexico, France, Greece, African-American, Africa, Israel, Sweden, United States and England. The concert will feature Western Plains Choristers (third-graders), Western Plains Junior Choir (fourth- and fifth-graders), "Western Plains Children's Choir" (sixth- and seventh-graders), and "Western Plains Youth Ensemble" (eighth- through 10th-graders). The concert is free and open to the public.

Main Street Books in downtown Minot will offer story time Sundays in December: 1 p.m., 106 S. Main St. Story times will feature holiday themed books and activities geared for children ages 4-7. All activities are free and a snack will be served.

OTHER EVENTS

Performance of "The Nutcracker": 2:30 p.m., Bismarck's Belle Mehus City Auditorium. The performance will feature students from Northern Plains Dance in Bismarck and professional dancers from around the country. Tickets range from $10 to $20 for reserved seating and are $10 for general admission and can be purchased at the Northern Plains Dance studios at 1125 E. Main Avenue in Bismarck, or by calling 530-0986 or e-mailing dance@northernplainsdance.org. General admission tickets can also be purchased at all Dan's SuperMarkets in Bismarck or at the door one hour before the show for $12.
