Soup kitchen: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., All Saints Episcopal Church, 301 S. Main St.
Reservations are needed by 4 p.m. Friday for senior citizens who want to participate in the soup bar and Savvy Senior Seminar Monday in the Parker Center. The optional soup bar will be at 5:30 p.m. and is $5 per person. The seminar will be at 6:30 p.m. and there is no cost for the seminar only. "Safety Scavengers" is the topic to be discussed by staff from ManorCare Rehabilitation Center. Call 852-0561 for reservations.

The Baptist Home of Kenmare will sponsor "Wrap Up Your Holidays with the Baptist Home of Kenmare" a Christmas gift wrap service: 2 to 8 p.m., nursing home's third floor activity room. People may have refreshments while they wait for their Christmas presents to be wrapped or they may drop presents off and stop back later. The nursing home staff and community volunteers will offer a variety of gift wrapping choices, gift bags and boxes. A freewill donation will go toward a new nativity scene for the Baptist Home residents. Those who would like to help wrap presents are also welcome.
The N.D. Safety Council Inc., Bismarck, will offer the "Alive at 25" Defensive Driving Course: 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., Minot State University's Model Hall, Room 207. The course is for drivers ages 14-25 and has been approved for point reduction and insurance discounts in North Dakota. Call the safety council at 1-800-932-8890 to preregister, which is required.
Sessions of the international Beginning Experience Peer Ministry Support Group for separated, divorced and widowed people are starting: 7 p.m. Level one sessions are Thursdays in Christ Lutheran Church, 502-17th St. SW. The Minot State University Campus Players production of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol," adapted by Kevin Neuharth, Minot: Thursday through Saturday, 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, 2 p.m., MSU's Hartnett Hall, Aleshire Theater. Tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for students, children and senior citizens. MSU identification cards will not be accepted for admission because this production is a fundraiser for Campus Players. Reservations should be made by calling 858-3172.
