Soup kitchen: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Immanuel Baptist Church, 1615-2nd St. SE.
Faith United Methodist Church's food and clothing pantry is open Wednesdays from 2 to 4 p.m. and Mondays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The church is located at 801 W. University Ave.

First Lutheran Church of Minot, along with members of Trinity Lutheran churches of Glenburn and Lansford, Peace Lutheran of Burlington and Saron Lutheran of South Prairie, will celebrate the National Day of Thanksgiving: 7 p.m., in First Lutheran Church, 120-5th Ave. NW. Bags of groceries will be collected for Luther's Soup Kitchen and the clients who attend the soup kitchen on Fridays. The children of First Lutheran Church will participate with the congregations in offering the bags of groceries to people who need food. A pie social will follow in the parish center.

YOUTH EVENTS
Whimsical Wednesdays story time for independent children ages 3-6: Wednesdays through Dec. 9 at 10:30 a.m., Minot Public Library's Imagination Station. Call 838-0606 for more information.
Child Evangelism Fellowship will hold Good News Club for children in grades kindergarten through sixth from 3:10 to 4:20 p.m. at the following schools: Longfellow Elementary Library, Wednesdays through Nov. 25; Edison Elementary Fallout Shelter, Tuesdays through Dec. 8; and Bel Air Elementary Gym, Mondays through Dec. 14. Activities include a Bible lesson, memory verse, songs and games. Parents are welcome to attend. Call Ben Vinje at 340-4999 for more information.
