First District Health Unit will hold an H1N1 vaccination clinic: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., or until the vaccine is gone, Minot Municipal Auditorium. All priority groups may receive the vaccine including pregnant women; all children and adults ages 6 months through age 24; parents, siblings and caregivers of infants younger than 6 months old; and people ages 25 through 64 with chronic underlying health conditions. Second doses will be offered to children ages 9 and younger who received the first dose before Oct. 27. The vaccine is free and no appointments are needed.
Soup kitchen: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Faith United Methodist Church, 801 W. University Ave. The church's food and clothing pantry is open Mondays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Wednesdays from 2 to 4 p.m.
Reservations are now being taken for the Minot Salvation Army's Thanksgiving Dinner Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Parker Senior Center, 21-1st Ave. SE. Jerry Schlag will provide entertainment. The dinner is open to the public but people need to call the Salvation Army Corps at 838-8925 for reservations.
Reservations are now being taken for the Inaugural "Friends Serving Friends" free Thanksgiving meal Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Dunseith High School Cafeteria. One of the purposes of the event is so that people do not have to spend Thanksgiving alone. Family photographs will be taken. The Dunseith HORIZONS project is also a participant in this community event. "Friends serving Friends" is a collaboration of community members and organizations who donate their personal time for a community cause.

Trinity Mental Health Services in Minot will host four talks on the theme, "Tis the Season for Stress": Today, Nov. 30, Dec. 7 and Dec. 14, 4 p.m., Trinity Health Center-Riverside's Education Center, 1900-8th Ave. SE. The talks are free and open to the public. All of the presenters are licensed counselors at Trinity Mental Health Services. Call 857-5998 for more information.
The Minot Public School District presents Parent Information Night: 7 to 9 p.m., Minot High School-Magic City Campus' Arvel Graving Theater. Steve Beutler, career counselor for the Minot Public Schools, will present information about graduation requirements; career exploration resources; post-secondary education options; financing a college education; employability in a tight job market; and the work force of the future. The program is for high school students and their parents.

Child Evangelism Fellowship will hold Good News Club for children in grades kindergarten through sixth from 3:10 to 4:20 p.m. at the following schools: Bel Air Elementary Gym, Mondays through Dec. 14; Edison Elementary Fallout Shelter, Tuesdays through Dec. 8; and Longfellow Elementary Library, Wednesdays through Nov. 25.
