The Hooterville Flion Lions will conduct the annual "Kamping for Kans" food drive: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Miracle Mart-Dakota Square Mall location. All food donations will be coordinated through Community Action Partnership-Minot Region to restock local food pantries.
The Thor Lodge Sons of Norway will have a bake sale, luncheon, pie and ice cream social, Grandma's Attic and book sale: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Scandinavian Heritage Center building, 1020 S. Broadway, lower level. There will be baked items including lefse, Yulekake, Norwegian cookies and breads. A lunch of shredded beef sandwiches or knephla soup will be served.
Christ Lutheran Church's Angel Fantasy Bazaar: 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., in the church, 502-17th St. NW. Lunch will include french dip sandwiches, vegetable soup and coleslaw. There will be crafts, Scandinavian pastries, lefse, other baked goods, a re-gifting room, Grandma's Attic and book nook. Coffee, pie, cookies and doughuts will be served throughout the bazaar.
Little Flower Church's Bake and Craft Sale: Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the church, 800 W. University Ave. There will be crafts, baked goods, Christmas items and a raffle. Slushburgers, pie and coffee will be served Saturday. Rolls or doughnuts and coffee will be served Sunday. There will be a raffle drawing Sunday at 1 p.m.
Free weekly Saturday soup kitchen (breakfast): 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Congregational United Church of Christ basement, east door.
The 15th Annual Victorian Tea and Yesterday's Treasurers, sponsored by St. Joseph's Auxiliary: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Carnegie Center downtown, 105-2nd Ave. SE. There will be Victorian and country crafts, a tea with sandwiches and desserts, antiques and collectibles. Admission for the tea, craft and collectible sale will be $8 per person. Admission to the craft sale only will be $1 per person.
The Santa Rides a Harley fundraiser: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Roughrider Harley-Davidson, 515-20th Ave SE. People may have their photo taken with Santa on a Harley-Davidson, for a suggested donation of $5, and may register to win one of two bicycles. Photos will be taken by 360 Digitography with profits going to the Domestic Violence Crisis Center in Minot. The Minot Police Department Crime Prevention Unit and the Minot Fire Department will provide safety information. This event is sponsored by the Minot Chapter Harley Owners Group.
Ryder Bazaar and Turkey Drawing: Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Ryder School Gym. There will be more than 20 vendors. Lunch will be provided by Curt's Place. There will also be hourly door prizes. The turkey drawing will be at 3 p.m. on Main Street. The event is sponsored by the Ryder Community Club.
Craft and Bake Sales and Luncheon in Parshall: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., American Legion Building, Main Street, Parshall. Bake sales will be held by area churches. The luncheon will include soup or chili in a bread bowl, a children's plate and/or dessert and coffee. Raffle prizes will be drawn at 2:30 p.m. The event is hosted by the Parshall Promoters organizations.
The 22nd Annual Mohall Craft Show: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mohall School, east door. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Show admission is $1 per person except for children ages 6 and younger, who will be admitted for free. Day care will be provided. The show is sponsored by the Mohall Chamber of Commerce.
Williston's Annual Norse Malers Fall Show and Sale: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Old Armory, lower level, 320-1st Ave. E., Williston. Rosemaling, hardanger, tolepainting and crochet items will be sold. Rommegrot, sandwiches, bars and coffee will be served.
Minot people who have lost a friend or family member to suicide will have an opportunity to participate in the annual National Survivors of Suicide Day program: Minot's two-hour program will start at 11:30 a.m., Trinity Health Center-Riverside, 1900-8th Ave. SE. There is no charge to attend. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention annually sponsors a conference which is broadcast to sites throughout the country and internationally. Minot will have a local program for the first time because of funds raised in September's Out of the Darkness Community Walk in Minot in which 407 people participated. Friends of Jaclyn Klebe of Minot will host a silent auction fundraiser: 6 p.m., Bootlegrz, 515-20th Ave. SE. Bidding will start at 6 p.m., with bidding closing at 8, 8:30 and 11:30 p.m. A medical emergency caused trauma to Klebe's spinal cord. In addition to medical and travel expenses, many not covered by insurance, the Klebe home will require adaptive living equipment to make it accessible for her. The fundraiser will help with some of these expenses. Local business have donated items for the auction. There are also autographed items from the NHL, NFL, NBA and PGA. The Minot Area Theatrical Society will present benefit one-acts, "Warm Welcome," "The Good Loser," "The Way of All Fish" and "Thomas, Richard and Harold": Saturday, 7 p.m., and Sunday, 2 p.m., The Vegas Motel, Minot. This is a benefit for the Minot Area Council of the Arts and a freewill donation will be taken. No reservations will be taken for this event. Call 852-2290 for more information.
