Soup kitchen: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Faith United Methodist Church, 801 W. University Ave. The church's food and clothing pantry is open Mondays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Wednesdays from 2 to 4 p.m.

Minot Adult Learning Centers registration for GED, career planning and academic review courses: Monday, 1 to 4 p.m., and Nov. 30, 9 a.m. to noon, at the center. Registration is for students interested in earning their GED, increasing their academic skill level in order to enter post secondary education or who want help with career planning. GED tests are administered every Tuesday at 1 p.m. and many Tuesday evenings. Call 857-4488 to register.
The Minot Salvation Armys Annual Bell Ringing Campaign will begin Nov. 20 and continues through Dec. 24. Volunteers should contact the Salvation Army in Minot at 838-8925 to reserve a location, dates and times.
2nd Story Social Clubs Dots cooking night: 6 p.m., 13-1st Ave. SW.
The Minot Curling Club will have an open house and instructional sessions: Monday through Thursday, 7 p.m., at the club, State Fairgrounds, Minot. All equipment will be provided to interested people who would like to try curling. The league season will be from Nov. 30 to the end of March. Leagues are evenings Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The club also hosts some weekend events. All new and old curlers may attend the open house and sign up for leagues and to arrange their teams. There will be a club social and dinner Nov. 21 at 6 p.m. at the curling club. Call 838-3452 for more information.

Child Evangelism Fellowship will hold Good News Club for children in grades kindergarten through sixth from 3:10 to 4:20 p.m. at the following schools: Bel Air Elementary Gym, Mondays through Dec. 14; Edison Elementary Fallout Shelter, Tuesdays through Dec. 8; and Longfellow Elementary Library, Wednesdays through Nov. 25. Activities include a Bible lesson, memory verse, songs and games. Parents are welcome to attend. Call Ben Vinje at 340-4999 for more information.
