  • Pre-orders for the Rotary Roses Fundraiser may be picked up: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Marketplace Foods. Wrapped roses will also be for sale Thursday in limited quantities. The annual fundraiser raises money for youth projects. Call Roscoe at 351-0064 for more information. 
  • United Blood Services Blood Drive: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Williston High School Gym. Contact Pat Axtman at 572-0967 for an appointment.
  • Several events for veterans will be held in New Town: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Four Bears Casino and Lodge west of New Town. A Welcome Home Event will include baseline medical exams and evaluations. The Compensation and Informational Fair will give veterans the opportunity to apply for veterans’ benefits without traveling to Fargo. Representatives of various veterans service organizations will be available to assist veterans, dependents and survivors with their claims. Veterans should bring a copy of their DD214 (discharge papers), service medical or personnel records, and any Department of Veterans Affairs paperwork they may have received earlier.
  • Reservations must be made Thursday for those who want to attend the “Apple Daze Tea and Dessert” Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Dakotah Rose Bed and Breakfast in Minot. A variety of apple desserts will be offered for $6.50 per plate with proceeds to benefit “Donelda Grubb’s  Ministry to Mongolia.” Reservations must be made by calling 838-3548.
  • Public hockey: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Maysa Arena.
  • Soup kitchen: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., All Saints Episcopal Church, 301 S. Main St.
  • Minot Public Library Fall Book Sale: Thursday from noon to 9 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the library.
  • Public ice skating: 12:30 to 2 p.m., Maysa Arena.
  • Minot Senior Coalition’s Lunch ‘n’ Learn program: Parker Senior Center, 21-1st Ave. SE. The 1 p.m. speaker will be The Rev. Bob Edwards from First Presbyterian Church, Minot, who will speak about “Holiday Blues.” The 2 p.m. speaker will be Diane Thorne from the First District Health Unit, Minot, who will speak about “Holiday Eating.” Reservations are needed.   • The 54th Annual Minot Y’s Men’s PRCA Indoor Rodeo: Thursday through Saturday, 6:30 p.m., and Sunday, 2 p.m., State Fair Center, Minot.   • Mouse River Players Community Theatre will present Neil Simon’s comedy, “Plaza Suite”: Thursday through Saturday, 7:30 p.m., Sunday, 2 p.m., Arlene Saugstad Theater, MRP building, 115-1st St. SE.
