What's Happening in Arts & Entertainment

The state finals of annual Colgate Country Showdown will be in the 4 Bears Casino Events Center, New Town, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. Admission is free. The goal of the showdown is to find the most promising country music talent in America and help them launch their professional music careers. State winners advance to one of five regional finals and regional winners to the nationally televised national finals competition with a grand prize of $100,000.
