Soup kitchen: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Immanuel Baptist Church, 1615-2nd St. SE.

Public ice skating: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Maysa Arena.

Public hockey: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Maysa Arena.

Faith United Methodist Church's food and clothing pantry is open Wednesdays from 2 to 4 p.m. and Mondays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The church is located at 801 W. University Ave.

Soup kitchen: 5 to 6:30 p.m., First Presbyterian Church, 1000-3rd St. NE.

Halloween Carnival: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., First Lutheran Church Parish Center Assembly Hall. There will be games, a snack walk, bingo and food. Tickets are 25 cents per booth.

Haunted House at Roosevelt Park Zoo: 7 to 11 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for children ages 12 and under. Children must be accompanied by an adult. There will be $1 off same night repeat visits.

Northwest Art Center Lecture Series, "Roamin' in Rome: Brother Eric's Personal Perusal of the Grandeur" by Eric Furuseth of the MSU Humanities Department, 7 p.m., Minot State University, Hartnett Hall, Aleshire Theater.

Minot State Univeristy NOTSTOCK. a collaboration of art, music and business: Continues Wednesday and Thursday, MSU's Student Center. The event will feature four nationally-known rock poster artists and performances by 20 modern, alternative and local rock bands. There will be a roundtable/presentation by the artists Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Beaver Dam. Thursday the artists will present "The Artist as Entrepreneur" from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Student Center. The three-day event is free and open to the public. The artists will have posters for sale and will be available to sign other collected works. Visit (msunotstock.org) for more information.

2nd Story Social Club's Halloween Party: 7:30 p.m., Municipal Auditorium Armory.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT

Minot City Council's Public Works and Safety Committee meeting, followed by Liquor and Gambling Control Committee meeting: 4:15 p.m., City Hall, council chambers.

YOUTH EVENTS

Whimsical Wednesdays Story Time for independent children ages 3-6: Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. through Dec. 10, Minot Public Library's Imagination Station. Call 838-0606 for more information.

"Preventing and Responding to Injuries" Conference: Continues Wednesday and Thursday, Seven Seas Motel and Conference Center, Mandan. The conference is sponsored by The N.D.
