Edgewood Vista Fall Bazaar: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Edgewood Vista’s Basic Side Community Room, 800-16th Ave. SE. The bazaar will include baked goods, crafts, doughnuts, lefse, Avon products, caramels, Pampered Chef items, jewelry and white elephant items. Proceeds will be used to pay for a portion of the residents’ admission to community events.
Free Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., First Lutheran Church.
Artists’ reception for graphic artist Art Chantry: Reception at 7 p.m. with a presentation by Chantry at 8 p.m. which will feature music by Al Scorch, Chicago, and Diabolic Octopus, Minot, 62 Doors Gallery and Studios, 11B S. Main St., downtown Minot.
2nd Story Social Club’s Halloween Dance: 7 p.m., Minot Municipal Auditorium.
The Minot State University Theater Department will present “Execution of Justice”: Today and Saturday, 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, 2 p.m., MSU’s Hartnett Hall, Aleshire Theater. This docudrama focuses on the trial of accused killer Dan White who was convicted of killing San Francisco Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk, the first openly gay elected public official in the country. Tickets are $6 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, and free for MSU students, faculty and staff with current MSU identification. Reservations are recommended and may be made by calling 858-3172.
YOUTH EVENTS
Baby Steps, a 20-minute story time for children ages 18 months to 3 years of age and their caregivers: Fridays at 10 a.m. through Nov. 20, Minot Public Library’s Imagination Station.
Game Days for teens and “tweens”: Today, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Nov. 11, 10 a.m. to noon, at the library. Teens and tweens will be able to play Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii games. Refreshments will be served. People should preregister by calling Krista at 852-1045 or sending her e-mail at ktiller@srt.com. Teen Advisory Group meetings are held the first Monday of each month from 4 to 5 p.m. at the library.
