  • First District Health Unit is giving flu shots to people of all ages: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., 801-11th Ave. SW, south entrance. People do not need appointments. The cost is $30. People should bring their health insurance card, Medicare card, Medicare Part D card and/or Medicaid card. A special flu shot clinic for all ages will be Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Minot Municipal Auditorium, conducted by health unit personnel.
  • Soup Kitchen: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Christ Lutheran Church.
  • Public hockey: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Maysa Arena.
  • Public ice skating: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Maysa Arena.
  • United Blood Services Blood Drive: noon to 6 p.m., Williston National Guard Armory. Contact Al or Bertha Axtman 572-3495 or call the Armory the day of the drive at 774-0087 for an appointment.
  • Palmetto State Quartet will perform: 7 p.m., West Minot Church of God, 1105-16th St. NW. The quartet is a long-established group which travels the country sharing the Gospel message in a southern gospel style of music. The event is free and open to the public.   • Celiac Support Group presentation: 7 p.m., Minot Public Library, upper meeting room. A representative of the Twisted Bakery, a gluten-free bakery in Dickinson, will bring samples of the company's products. Call 838-4844 or 839-8960 for more information.
  • Organizational meeting for Minot's Daughters of Norway Lodge: 7 p.m., First Lutheran Church's Administration Building, Kildahl Room, 120-5th Ave. NW. All Scandinavian women, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian and Swedish, who are at least 13 years old or women who are married to Scandinavians are invited. Refreshments will be provided.   • Ward County Public Library Board: 3 p.m., Ward County Public Library, 405-3rd Ave. SE.
  • Minot Mayor's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities: 3:30 p.m., North Central Human Service Center, Town and Country Center, 1015 S. Broadway.
  • Side by Side Story Time for children and their caregivers: Tuesdays at 10 a.m. through Dec. 9, Minot Public Library's Imagination Station. Call 838-0606 for more information.
  • Teddy Bear Time, a story time for parents and children: Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. through Nov. 11, Minot Public Library. Call 838-0606 for more information.
