- Soup kitchen: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Faith United Methodist Church, 801 W. University Ave. The church's food and clothing pantry is open Mondays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Wednesdays from 2 to 4 p.m.

- The N.D. Safety Council Inc., Bismarck, will offer the Defensive Driving Course: 6 to 10 p.m., Minot State University's Model Hall, Room 207. The cost is $45 per person, $40 if you are a member of the N.D. Safety Council, or $30 for senior citizens ages 55 and older. Additional family members may take the course for $20. - The Minot Youth For Christ organization will celebrate 26 years of ministry at the organization's "Report to the People" Banquet: 6:30 p.m., Minot State University Dome. This year's theme is "Laugh Out Loud" with Bob Stromberg from Minneapolis. To be a table host or to reserve complimentary tickets, call the Youth For Christ office at 839-4660.
- Northwest Art Center Lecture Series, "Horizons Unlimited: Destinations China and the Tibetan Borderlands" by Robert Kibler of the MSU Humanities Deparmtent, 7 p.m., Minot State University, Hartnett Hall, Aleshire Theater.
- The Minot Area Council of the Arts will sponsor the "Serving With Class" program: 7 to 9 p.m., Carnegie Center downtown, 105-2nd Ave. SE.
